The Avon Valley Concerts music society was formed in 1983 to provide the Ringwood, Fordingbridge and the surrounding area with first-class concerts of classical music performed by professional musicians.

Based in Petersfield, Hampshire, the society puts on eight concerts every season, including one children's concert and one lecture recital for teenagers.
