Description: The Blue Flash Music Trust takes its name from the Blue Flash Company formed by Captain 'Baggy' Middleton and other members of the Royal Sussex Regiment after the 1st World War to provide employment for out of work musicians. A blue flash on the shoulder was a part of the regiments uniform. The Blue Flash Company built a couple of Blue Flash cinemas, one of which was built in Horsham in 1923 to provide work for those musicians.
